Cuba is an island that, with the Youth Island and other islets, composes this archipelago located in the Sea of Caribe, totalizing a surface of 110.992 Km2.It has been discovered by Christopher Columbus, who arrived in October 27th,1942, through Cayo Bariay, a province of Holguín. As years went by, several independentist battles have been vital for the history of this island, from the battles of 1868 to the more recent revolutions of this century, as the great triumph of the revolution, in January 1st, 1959.
